I am going to try and keep this as short as possible and to the point. It has been a long day and I am rather worried and discouraged tonight and have not had  enough time to fully process everything. First, Jessica's kidney is stable that was not the concern today. The concern today took place during her exam and I was pointing out several bruises or what I thought was bruising and telling neph nurse practitioner that she has been getting these marks on her legs all the time. I have to say that she caught me off guard and she looked rather concerned and then proceded to tell me that the marks on her legs were NOT all bruises. She left the room and went to get her Iphone to take some pictures so she could take the images back to Seattle Children’s to show Jessica's Rheumatology doctor. She thinks that what is going on has something to do with Jessica's vascular instability. She is also having a little vein in her left foot trying to dilate this is also the same leg that she has been complaining of pain in on and off for several months. All of which her doctors have been aware of.

So yes I am scared. I am a mom with a child that has a very complicated history and keeps puzzling doctors. We have a little girl that is such a trooper and loves life. But the truth is there are so many unknowns with Jessica that we really honestly don't know how each thing is going to affect her. Is what we are seeing going to hurt her more than it already has? Is what she has life threatening? We all don't know. We are pushing through each day in hopes of a breakthrough and answers. We are asking for thoughts and prayers from you all to help guide her doctors and for her doctors to find answers to what all is going on.

 

I am hoping some of this made some sort of since. My mind is going in a million different directions at the moment but I wanted to update you all.
